The first step that I do with any type of production is also to help like a consultant. Every production has different needs and sometimes, in the fase of defining the project, there are possibilities that aren't considered like different styles or already existing musics. Also I can advice on budgets and possibilities like costs for a real orchestra or other solutions to reach in a different way the same goal.
COMPOSER
Compose is the first fase of a brand new piece of music.
I usually provide themes, background musics or sound design options with computer softwares and virtual instruments.
This is usually a smart approach to construct and adapt the musics trough all the changes that the production needs and at the end, when everything is approved, consider to do a live recording by real musicians.
ARRANGER AND ORCHESTRATOR
Like an arranger I can reconceptualize a previously composed work. It may differ from the original work by means of reharmonization, melodic paraphrasing or development of the formal structure.
And the Orchestration is adapting music composed for another medium for an orchestra, also I can provide the final score and parts for the Director and the musicians.
